In the spring of 2012, KettleHouse decided to give back to our eager patrons and offered an opportunity to learn the art of producing and tasting fine crafted brews. We opened registration in the spring and with overwhelming enthusiasm, only one hundred KettleHouse patrons were lucky enough to enroll in our first annual KettleHouse Beer Kolledge. Classes began that spring.
Our curriculum includes a tour of one of the breweries and a guided tasting. Students are required to taste our beer provided by local establishments and then document their experience with a photo for homework. After completion of the course, all students are invited to a graduation party. Diplomas are issued and a commemorative KettleHouse Beer Kolledge sweatshirt is bestowed. The best part: TUITION IS FREE!
Currently, Beer Kolledge is on hiatus as we focus on getting our new production facility and taproom in Bonner up and running. Enter your email address on our home page to be kept abreast of when registration will open again.
You can learn more about the art of brewing beer with a little bit of self-study. Check out our Brewing Glossary and learn more.
