The mission of the Selway Bitterroot Frank Church Foundation is to connect citizens and communities to provide stewardship for the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness and Frank Church-River of No Return Wilderness areas through boots on the ground work, education and partnerships. We insure recreational use by opening trails and maintaining trail connectivity on these 4 million acres of Wilderness.  We also protect the natural conditions of wilderness ecosystems through wilderness and water quality monitoring, campsite obliteration, invasives removal and erosion mitigation.

Funds from KettleHouse Community UNite will directly support volunteer projects in the Selway Bitteroot and Frank Church Wilderness areas for the 2017 season.

The Milltown Garden Patch (MGP) is a community-based, non-profit organization offering community garden plots primarily to residents of Milltown, Bonner, Riverside and East Missoula who are interested in growing their own organic produce. We’ve turned what was for years an unused parcel of land in Milltown into a cultivated and productive community area with views of the restored Clark Fork River floodplain just upstream from the confluence of the Clark Fork and Blackfoot rivers. Our ongoing goal is to create an environment in which interested residents can grow their own organic produce and create a “cash crop” which will give us the opportunity to give back to the community, by way of donations to local food banks. MGP also helps bring neighbors closer together while beautifying our community, promoting environmental awareness and providing education on the benefits of fresh, locally grown produce.

Proceeds from the KettleHouse Community UNite event will be used to help purchase new batteries for MGP’s solar powered irrigation system so we can keep growing delicious, organic food for our members and volunteers as well as continue to donate produce to the Missoula Food Bank and Poverello Center.

We’ll be raffling off a few great prizes so come down and show your support! For more information visit www.milltowngardenpatch.org/ and don’t forget to RSVP on our Facebook Page: www.facebook.com/events/1895851083992688/.

Climate Ride organizes charitable multi-day biking and hiking events around the country to support sustainability, climate action, conservation and bike advocacy. We’ve granted nearly $3.8 Million to this cause since 2008!

We will be at KettleHouse Northside taproom tonight to chat about our event offerings with giveaways and raffle prizes.

Each Climate Ride event is fully supported by a group of dedicated staff who handle trip logistics so participants can immerse themselves in the Climate Ride experience and community. Participants are united by their passion for the environment, sustainable transportation, and preserving the planet for generations to come. With a desire for an active adventure, they come from a variety of backgrounds, experience and fitness levels. Many participants have never done a multi-day hiking or cycling challenge before!

RSVP for this fundraising event on Facebook!
